Welcome to the New Pasadena Dance Center home of Le Studio Ballet/Studio 57 Dance. Pasadena's premier dance education center offering a full range of dance classes — ballet, modern, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, and musical theater — for dancers of all ages from 3 years to adults. The central philosophy of PDC is to demand the best of each student, whether or not he or she plans to dance professionally. As its miission, PDC concentrates on the appreciation of dance as an art form taught in a positive and structured environment. Although education and development of mental and physical coordination are the uppermost concerns of our program, students with the proper amount of training, talent and desire will be encouraged to pursue professional careers in dance and related fields. Our Dance Companies: The performing companys in ballet, jazz and contemporary dance forms offer students the chance to work with many professional choreographers and dancers, both in the classroom and on the stage. Preforming companies include competition teams,ballet company, jazz company with opportunities to dance in local and distant community functions. An annual highlight is a family-friendly production of The Story of the Nutcracker in December of each year and an annual spring recital in May. This year will see the advent of more creative dance shows combining local guest dancers, PDC dancers and company and competition team members. Our Policies- NO GUM is permitted on the premises, for students, parents or teachers. Appropriate attire must be worn to class. Hair for ballet should be off the face and in a bun and shoes should be properly fitted and safe to dance in. Students who are not appropriately dressed will be asked to leave the class.
- Le Studio instructors will make decisions as to the appropriate class level for each child and will consult the Director and inform parents if a change is appropriate.
- POINTE: Students will only be considered for pointe if they are at least 11 years old, are attending at least 3 ballet classes per week and show sufficient strength and control. Pointe students must have their feet examined and a letter of approval from their physician.
- Punctual and consistent attendance is expected of all Le Studio Students. Children who arrive late, may be asked to sit and watch.
- The Director will be happy to arrange a conference at the students or parents request–Please do not conference with teachers during or between classes.
- Siblings MUST be supervised. Children must be supervised when entering and leaving the building. Students may not be outside in their ballet attire. The studio is not responsible for children who leave the premises.
- Competition teams, solos, and other preforming groups are by invitation of the team or group director. Separate fees are required for team and group participation.
- Parents please sit in the observation areas, do not block the entrances or hallways.
- Food and drinks, other than bottled water, are not permitted in our studios.
- Students, parents and teachers are expected to pick up after themselves. Do not bring valuables. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Students, parents and teachers are expected to conduct themselves with respect for each other at all times. A co-operative environment is essential for learning.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
